The new structure was created to replace an existing pergola which had design problems. The existing unit was built at roof eave height which was no problem in the summertime; however, during the winter, snow and ice accumulated and the build-up would push and stress the pergola.

Our clients wanted a comfortable place for their grown kids when they come home and stay for a few days. A place of their own with plenty of space and even a spot to put a few things away. All of this while not looking like a bedroom the rest of the year.

These days a more sophisticated approach is taken to a microwave. We have put them just about everywhere. For several clients, we have installed a traditional unit in the island.

A couple of years ago we started installing lighted closet poles. These poles use an LED light inside the actual rod to put light were it is actually needed.

There are two types of lighting we put into our jobs. First is the task or general lighting. The second is decorative lighting, which is the ‘fun’ stuff but also can be quite expensive. Think of decorative lights as the jewelry or bling for an attractive outfit.
