The Truth About 'Custom' Cabinets: A Comparison That Will Make You Rethink Your Kitchen Remodel

Many home builders claim that their cabinets are “custom” but what does custom really mean?

I recently had an eye-opening experience while strolling through Home Depot. As I passed by the cabinets they were selling, I couldn't help but notice how cheaply made they looked (see photo to the left).

Later, I was at our cabinet shop where Jared and Kevin were hard at work building cabinets for a kitchen remodel. The difference between the Home Depot cabinets and our truly custom cabinets was like night and day!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Our handmade cabinets are meticulously assembled in our shop by our talented Hanson Carlen crew; it requires focus and many steps for the process

We start by selecting the wood type, chosen by the client, and then craft the cabinets from scratch. It takes a great deal of skill and attention to detail to transform a piece of wood into a beautiful cabinet. The painting/staining, assembly, and installation are also challenging tasks that require expertise.

Take a look at these photos comparing the Home Depot cabinets and the old cabinets that we removed in the kitchen remodel to ours, and you'll see the difference for yourself.

Do you want the Home Depot ‘special’ that might fall apart in a year, or would you rather invest in beautiful cabinets that will last 100 years without having to think about or spend money on them again? You decide
