Exposed Beams
Exposed beams in the ceiling can often add a nice element to a room. Often times they are structural and sometimes they are faux and for aesthetics only. In this home, the beams that were added not only give a richness to the space, but they are used to define the kitchen and dining area from the living room areas of the home. Great care was taken to make sure the fireplace was centered on the beams and posts. Rough sawn lumber was used as a celling treatment.
